his is our robot, Smarto. He was given this name because we decided he needed the name of an elephant, hence his elephant-trunk-like arm. However, he’s a rather sensitive guy, and we didn’t want to give him a name with the word “dumb” in it. Thus, the logical conclusion was to dub him “Smarto”
This year, we used a double bar lift.
We decided not to try to pick up balls, but just squares. We used a basic claw idea, using 2 servos.
For the carousel, we have a wheel at the top to spin the wheel. We added a duck shield so that ducks couldn’t get stuck on the robot!
